H7566 14" Smooth Sole Jack Plane
A beautifully made smooth sole jack plane with precision fit and finish.
Jack Planes (from “jack of all trades”) or fore planes are general-purpose utility planes that shave large amounts of material from rough stock and bring it closer to final size.
The H7566 14" Smooth Sole Jack Plane can be useful for smoothing and jointing a flat surface as well, depending on the size of the workpiece.
This jack plane is 2" wide and 14" long, with precision-ground cast-iron construction for years of dependable use.
The chip breaker helps ''break'' and curl the shavings to minimize tear out ahead of the cutting edge. It also supports the blade to reduce chatter.
The mouth opening is easy to adjust because of the knurled brass adjusting nut.
Features include a hardwood handle and front knob, full plane iron adjustments, and frog and lever caps.
Like all Grizzly planes, the H7565 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)
